Three classic leaks
The lead arrives through an unmonitored channel (form, LinkedIn, missed call). The lead is recorded but without a clear owner. The lead is followed up once and then forgotten for lack of a planned follow-up.
Each leak can be measured: first-response time, share of leads without an owner, share of leads with no action for more than X days.
What a system can do
Capture every channel in the CRM, enrich the context, qualify against your criteria, propose a follow-up and assign it. Automatic sending is not necessary to obtain most of the gain.
The score is there to prioritise, not to decide in place of the sales rep.
What stays human
The conversation, the negotiation, the decision to stop. And the contact rules: opt-outs, relationships managed by a person and restricted contacts are hard stops in the workflow.
Where to start
With one channel and one segment. Measure for four weeks, adjust the criteria, then extend. Illustrative example; results depend on your pipeline and your teams.
